is required for registration:

Child’s Birth Certificate
Child’s Immunization Records
Child’s Social Security Card
Custody Documents (if necessary)
Proof of Residence: rent receipt, utility bill or any document containing the name and current address of custodial parent
Students entering Mt. Washington School for the first time or returning after
leaving the neighborhood, must show proof of residency within the Mt. Washington
School boundaries.
Parents who withdraw their child from Mt. Washington School must notify the
office of the student’s last day. All books must be turned in to
the homeroom teacher and financial obligations should be met.
Kindergarten Registration
Each spring Mt. Washington holds a Kindergarten sign up for the following school
year. This sign up is held in April and is followed by a student screening
in May. This screening is done by the Mt. Washington Kindergarten teachers
and helps them assess student skills and determine the appropriate placement
of students within the classroom.
A special orientation meeting for parents of preschool, kindergarten and
first grade students is held every August prior to the beginning of school.
At this meeting, parents and students visit their new classroom, learn
about the instructional program, other school programs, and best of all,
meet their new teacher!
Preschool Enrollment
Preschool is available for three or four year old children. For information
about the pre-school program, please call the Early Childhood Office at 363-0240.
Enrollment for pre-school is done through the Early Childhood Office during
the summer months. After the beginning of the school year you may call
the school
office and speak to the preschool teacher for information.
